Orsay Museum Visit

Paris Orsay Museum by another name; Musee d’Orsay is a state museum located in Paris, the capital of France. Located on the left bank of the Seine River, the museum was an old railway station. The station was built between 1898 and 1900. The Orsay Museum contains sculptures, paintings, furniture and photographs, mostly of French art, created between 1848 and 1915. With Musee d'Orsay tickets take a chance to visit, mostly known for its large impressionist collection, which includes works by painters such as Monet, Degas, Renoir, and Cezanne. This collection was on display at the Galerie nationale du Jeu de Paume until the museum's opening in 1986.

        ⚈Operating hours: The Orsay Museum is open every Tuesday to Sunday from 9:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Last admission at 5pm, last to exhibitions at 5:15pm, rooms close from 5:30pm Night visit/Nocturne on Thursdays until 9:45pm (night rate from 6pm): last admission to the museum and exhibitions at 9pm, rooms close from 9:15pm. Closed every Monday, May 1 and December 25. First Sunday of the month free.

        ⚈Persons under 18 years and EU residents under 26 may enter free with a valid ID
        ⚈ Access to lockers and cloakrooms is limited to large objects that are not allowed in the museum display rooms

        ⚈Wheelchairs, folding chairs, and walking sticks are available for use on the museum premises.

        ⚈This is not a guided tour. You’ll enter the attraction independently at the time of your choosing within operating hours.

        ⚈Voucher is valid for one entry only on the selected day. You may stay as long as you like but cannot leave and reenter the museum

        FOR THE RIVER CRUISE PLEASE PAY ATTENTION

        ⚈ From April to September: Come at the time of your choice from 10 am to 10 pm, every 30 minutes (except 1 pm and 7.30 pm : no departure - last departure at 10.30 pm subject to a minimum number of participants). Weekends and weekdays in June, July and August: from 10 am to 11 pm. On July 14, due to the festivities, the last sightseeing cruise departure will take place at 3 pm.

        ⚈ The audio guide on the boat is available in 14 languages, including French, English, Hindi, Arabic, German, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese, Russian, Polish, Dutch, Chinese, Japanese, and Korean.

        ⚈ The river cruise boats host 300 people in good weather and 120 people in rainy weather to comply with the rules.

        ⚈ The rules of hygiene on boats do not allow us to accept an animal except for guide dogs.

        ⚈ All boats are non-smoking. It is however possible to smoke on the outdoor terrace of some of restaurants. Some of boats are equipped with an outdoor terrace where it is possible to smoke.

        ⚈ In the car park area, all passengers with a ticket for the river cruise are given 1 hour free parking. Please keep your tickets until your boat tour is over.

        ⚈ The river cruise tickets are valid for a month after the travel date.
